Happy Birthday Smexy!!

Birthday Gift for ! Wah!!! I finally drew Mimi! I really love her story with Peach as an Annie and her neat mysterious shoes! The idea behind this was Mimi went looking for Peach in the sky. I figured there had to be something up there for her to be on. (Plus I've always loved the idea of floating islands )

Smexy!! I just wanted to say thank you for being my friend! You've been so sweet to me and everyone really!! You support SO MANY people amidst being crazy busy with med school. You are truly an inspiration ^_^ I hope your Birthday was amazing and that your heart handled its "happy crying" sessions /huggles

A bit about the art piece: I actually did a lot of color picking from Smexy's pieces because I wanted to be accurate to Mimi. I noticed though that Smexy alters the colors a lot!! But they are all similar enough that each gives it's own feel in the piece but every single one still holds Mimi's general aesthetic!! It honestly was really neat to see that ^_^ I also noticed a simple color change in the line art can hold a lot of interest! I tried it out in this piece like crazy! Not only do I think this gives a lot of visual interest it is SO MUCH EASIER (cough & faster) than what I've currently been doing with my line art!!! I'm coloring my lines like this from now on yes!!

Also I gotta say Woah! Comparing this piece to last years, I feel super happy with my art progress in a year
